Eikon Exe: A Revolution in Wiring Devices

Matteo Thun and Partners Redefine Versatility and Elegance

Matteo Thun and Partners introduce Eikon Exe, a new line of wiring devices that seamlessly blend functionality and style. With an essential, minimalist design and a wide range of finishes, Eikon Exe is a testament to the power of innovative design.

The Eikon Exe line is targeted towards architects and interior designers who appreciate an essential style but crave the ability to personalize their choices. The platform is characterized by a modular system that allows for a flexible combination of multiple functions in an easy and modular way. The same design is available for different international standards, making it a versatile choice for global projects.

The unique properties of Eikon Exe lie in its minimalist shape and the variety of finishes available. With 27 different finishes in materials such as glossy and brushed metals, glasses, mirrors, wood, leather, and marbled stoneware, the line offers a complete range of functions. These range from traditional device to home and building automation, catering to the energy requirements of various nations.

The realization of Eikon Exe involved various mechanical technologies. These include water jet for glass and mirror, pantographing and varnishing for wood, waterjet cutting for stoneware, leathers, and zamak die-casting with dedicated surface treatments. The materials used include glossy and brushed metals, glasses, mirrors, natural woods, high-quality leathers, and marbled stonewares.

The design of Eikon Exe is characterized by an essential and minimalist style. It is available in a wide range of finishes and exclusive materials, thus allowing personalized choices, in line with actual interior trends. Eikon Exe offers a full range of functions, from traditional devices to home and building automation, to state-of-the-art IoT solutions, for example, to wirelessly control your lights.

The Eikon Exe line is a testament to the power of innovative design and the potential of technology to redefine the way we interact with our surroundings. The project, which started in June 2017 and finished in December 2018, has been recognized with a Golden A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award in 2019. This award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. They are venerated products and bright ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
